As part of our commitment to service, leadership, education, and personal development, our sorority offers a variety of national programs designed to foster growth within our chapters and communities. Below are key initiatives and opportunities for our members.

C.A.P.E. Seminars (Chapter Advancement & Personal Enrichment)

C.A.P.E. (Chapter Advancement & Personal Enrichment) Seminars are designed to provide our members with growth opportunities in a variety of essential areas. These seminars focus on:

  • Chapter Development: Enhance the organizational skills and effectiveness of our chapter operations.

  • Education: Promote continuous learning and academic achievement.

  • Leadership: Cultivate leadership skills essential for professional and personal success.

  • Self-Development: Foster personal growth and self-improvement.

  • Career Orientation: Provide guidance on career planning and professional development.

  • Mental Health & Wellness: Address mental health topics with a focus on self-care and well-being.

  • Women’s Health Issues: Raise awareness about women’s health, particularly those affecting the Latina community.

  • Social Concerns in the Latino Community: Discuss social issues impacting our community and advocate for change.

Each collegiate chapter is encouraged to participate in C.A.P.E. seminars throughout the academic year. Seminar descriptions must be submitted to Chapter Services at least two weeks prior to the presentation.

National Day of Service

In partnership with the National Association for Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO), we observe a National Day of Service each year. This initiative focuses on giving back to our communities through a variety of service projects that reflect our commitment to civic responsibility and social change. Whether it’s volunteering at local shelters, or supporting educational programs, our members make a meaningful impact through their collective efforts.

National Convention & Physical Meetings

Each year, we host a National Convention, providing members with the opportunity to come together, participate in leadership workshops, engage in discussions about our future, and celebrate our shared successes. This gathering helps foster unity, strengthen bonds, and reinforce the values of our Alphahood.

Additionally, regular Physical Meetings are held throughout the year, where chapter leaders and members can collaborate, plan, and strategize on both national and local initiatives.

Community Service & Philanthropy Hours

Our members are dedicated to serving their communities. Each chapter is encouraged to log a significant number of hours toward community service and philanthropy efforts. These hours represent our commitment to making a difference in the lives of others and contributing positively to society.

Chapters track:

  • Community Service Hours: Time spent volunteering in local communities.

  • Philanthropy Hours: Involvement in fundraising and activities that support various charitable causes.

Academic Hours & Scholarship Opportunities

Education is a core value of our sorority, and academic achievement is prioritized across all chapters. Each chapter implements Academic Hours to ensure members are dedicating time to their studies. Members are also encouraged to apply for our National Scholarship, which is awarded annually to outstanding members who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement.

New Member Education Process

Our New Member Education Process is designed to instill the values of our sorority and prepare future members for a lifetime of leadership, service, and Alphahood.

This process emphasizes:

  • Sorority History and Traditions: Understanding the origins and mission of our organization.

  • Leadership Training: Equipping new members with the skills needed to take on leadership roles within the sorority and beyond.

  • Service and Philanthropy: Instilling a commitment to serving the community.

  • Alphahood: Building bonds that will last a lifetime.

New members are provided with the resources and support they need to thrive in both their collegiate and post-collegiate lives.
