About the President
Kimberly Fernandez is a Winter 2018 initiate of the Kappa Chapter at Santa Clara University and proudly serves as the 16th National President of Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority, Incorporated®. From her earliest days in the organization, Kimberly demonstrated a deep passion for cultural empowerment, organizational excellence, and alphahood — qualities that have defined her leadership journey from her chapter to national board. Over the years, she has served as Director of Public Relations, Parliamentarian, Vice President, and now National President, bringing both creativity and structure to every role she has held. Elected at the 35th Anniversary Convention at San Diego State University, Kimberly now chairs the National Board where she provides strategic duration, support, and oversight for the sorority's senior leadership.
Kimberly holds a B.A. in Art History and a B.S. in Ethnic Studies from Santa Clara University as well as an M.A. in Museum Studies from New York University. Her professional experience spans the nonprofit and museum sectors, with a strong focus on education and access, and she currently works in a student racing role at NYU’s Academic Advising Center, where she supports student success and development.

As National President, Kimberly Fernandez is dedicated to strengthening Alpha Pi Sigma’s internal operations to enhance efficiency, transparency, and collaboration within the National Board. Her focus on refining backend processes will ensure the organization is better equipped to support chapters across the nation. With a forward-looking vision, she is also committed to fortifying the bond between undergraduate and alumni members, building a strong foundation for sustainable growth and expansion to the East Coast.

Rooted in a deep respect for the organization’s values and a belief in collective empowerment, Kimberly leads with intention, empathy, and strategic clarity — guiding Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority, Incorporated® into its next era of excellence and unity.

Kimberly grew up in Napa, CA but currently resides in New York City. Her undergraduate studies in art history & ethnic studies alongside her masters in museum studies has led her to move out to the east coast to pursue opportunities within the cultural capital of the U.S. In her free time, she enjoys reading, journaling, and attempting to build up her elementary German vocabulary.
